Back from Brenham

This weekend went by too fast. Last Wednesday evening I got word that our wedding video was ready to be picked up. We went to Brenham Friday to have a movie watching party with my parents and that is definitely what it turned out to be. We watched 5 DVD's from 6:30pm until nearly 11:30pm....and it was funny! We were able to see a lot of things that went on that we did not know about and there were many people doing things that didn't know the camera was on them. So needless to say, it was fun to watch and something that we will always enjoy.
The application period for job openings ends tomorrow at 4:30. This means that applications should begin to be reviewed so hopefully we will hear something soon. Please keep praying that he gets one of the positions so that we can be a married couple and live together and enjoy each others company everyday instead of just on the weekends.

another job opening

Yesterday when I posted a blog I informed you that Jeremy had applied for positions in Rosenberg, Morton and Littlefield. Well I guess that he wants to get out of Laredo REALLY bad because when I was talking to him this afternoon he told me that he went ahead and applied for Beaumont while he was applying. So hopefully our chances of getting to live together are better as he applies for more locations. Please keep thinking of us and praying and we will keep you posted on the outcome.

Getting back on track

Well after a little while....or a few months rather, I am going to try to get back on track with this blogging thing. I have not been keeping up with it very well lately, actually since well before the wedding. I really have had good intentions but it just hasn't worked out in my favor. Hopefully there will be more news to post in the near future as we are patiently waiting to hear something about a job transfer for Jeremy.
He has applied for three positions; located in Rosenberg, Littlefield and Morton-- All Texas! Rosenberg being close to the Houston/Katy area and Littefield and Morton being outside of Lubbock. At this point we are not picky about which one he gets, we just hope that he gets one. The application deadline is September 8 so we won't know anything until after that date and sometimes it takes a while and sometimes it doesn't.
So the wedding is over and it was wonderful. We had a great day and many pictures to show for it. Thanks to all of our family and friends for being there to help us celebrate the special day; it would not have been as special if you wouldn't have been a part of it. So we have all been checking out the photographers pictures and I must share something that I found to be very funny.
I got a call from my memaw tonight (mom's mom) and she had to tell me that she has an appointment with one of her neighbor's down the street for tomorrow to look at our pictures on the internet. My memaw and pepaw are not very computer savy and while they have a computer, they don't even turn it on, much less utilize the internet. She is so excited that she will get to check out the pictures....poor thing, if I would have only known that it would make her day like it has, I would have driven to Houston with my lap top so that she could check out the pics. She said that she has mentioned to several other neighbors that she needed to use the internet to look at our pictures but no one has said anything about being willing to help out until she took this neighbor to the doctor and the lady wanted to repay her so memaw told her that she could repay her by getting the pictures up on the computer so she could see them....gotta love Memaw's...
well, I will really try harder to keep up with the blog and keeping you all posted with what is going on in the lives of the Hasty's; one in Laredo, one in Austin.

Happy Memorial Day!

Well the weekend is over, which means that we only have two more weekends before the wedding....WOW!! We are really getting excited and the pressure is on. I was made fun of so many times because I started doing wedding things so far in advance and wow, am I glad that I did. I have tons to do to be ready for the week of the wedding since I won't be in Austin after June 6. That being said, I better get to work. Have a great day!

no computer

Well my computer is infected with viruses so I don't have access at home to keep you all posted as often as I would like.
Graduation took place this past Saturday and it was great. We had lots of fun and it feels really good to know that it is officially over.
The wedding is quickly approaching and everything is going well so far. Jeremy and I only have two more weeks of work before we are off for 2 whole weeks so we are really excited about that even though we both are felling really bad right now. We both are coming down with a cold and don't feel very hot but at least we have time to get over it before the wedding and honeymoon.

not much going on....

Hope all mom's had a great mother's day. Jeremy and I did not spend the day with either of our moms because it was our last weekend to do nothing and go no where before the wedding and we really enjoyed it; so relaxing and something that we really needed. Graduation is this weekend and I am so ready for it. Not much wedding stuff going on right now as mom is taking care of most of it there in Brenham.....more soon!!

35 days to go

Well the wedding is only 35 days away and we are getting more excited every day. Things are really starting to come together and that's a good thing because this weekend is our last free weekend before the wedding. We have something going on every weekend between now and June 14th so the time is sure to fly by. The invitations have been mailed, luckily only one has been returned thus far so we almost made it 100% with our addresses. One out of 300 that were mailed; not so shabby.
Graduation is a week away and I can not wait. I am not as excited about graduation itself as I am about knowing that I will officially be done with school; with no plans to return.

With all the new things available on the internet, I thought that I would go ahead and give this a try. I know that there are a lot of people that I don't keep updated with what is going on in the lives of the soon to be Mr. and Mrs. Hasty, so hopefully this will help solve that problem.
