37 weeks

Weekly doctors appointments seem to come around really often these days. I was back at the doctor yesterday and it was a very brief visit but I learned the plan that my doc has in mind. She told me that she won't allow me to go past July 22 to have Korbyn...helloooo!! My dute date is July 8 and I am already super uncomfortable! Well when she said that my facial expression must have said it all because she immediatly told me that by that time she would have already been strongly encouraging me to be induced. I told her that she wouldn't have to "strongly" encourage because I am ready right now. She did tell me that the earliest that she would be willing to make anything happen for me is the first week of July; well that's not that far off so I can manage until then, but there's always that possibility that it could happen on it's own a little sooner.
I will be returning next Friday and she will do the first check of my cervix to see where I am at that point. She was willing to do it yesterday but because I have this fear that it will make me go into labor, I asked her to hold off because I have a few more things I need to finish up at work before having Korbyn. She told me to get to work and finish everything up and she would see me back next Friday.

36 weeks

We went to the doctors office this past Friday and had the last sonogram done. Korbyn is weighing in at 6 lbs 1 oz and we are only at 36 weeks. Immediatly when I heard her approximate weight I thought, there's no way we are going to make it to 40 weeks. But, the doctor said that she doesn't think Korbyn will get more than 7 1/2 lbs. She told us that Korbyn could come today or she could come in a few weeks so we need to just be ready. I guess this means that I really need to pack my bag and Jeremy might need to get a few things together as well; we might work on that this weekend. I have been saying that for the past few weekends and Monday always rolls back around and I still haven't packed my bag.
Jeremy and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary yesterday; time flies when you are having fun. It does not seem like we have been married for 2 years already. Well I guess legally it's been two years but we have really only lived together as husband and wife for the past year. Either way, our time together has been great and I am looking forward to many more wonderful years with my hubby.

35 weeks

We are getting closer! This past Thursday marked the 35 week mark which means we don't have that much longer. We go back to the doctor this Friday and we will have our final sonogram so that the doctor can make sure that everything is ready to go with Korbyn. After this Fridays appointment, we will begin going to the doctor weekly so that should really make the time go by quickly.
This past Thursday Jeremy's dad turned the BIG 50 so the family, immediate and some extended family, got together at Lake Buchanan for the weekend. I knew I would not be able to make the entire weekend, considering how uncomfortable I am getting, so Jeremy and I went for the day yesterday. It was hot but there was wind all day long which made it feel a little cooler; I would definitely not call it a breeze because it was warm/hot wind but better than nothing. I guess being outside in the heat all day put a little strain on my ankles/feet so now I am trying to rid my cankles and swollen feet.
I'll try to keep everyone posted on how things are going. Have a great week!

31 weeks

31 weeks today. Only 63 more days until I hit the due date of July 8. The time has really gone by quickly; hopefully the next 63 days will fly by. This week has been very exhausting. It's back in to 90's and the heat is wearing me out. Yesterday was Jeremy's birthday so I made him a carrot cake and we went to Red Lobster for dinner (his request). The food was great and I hope that he had a great day. Next year he will get an extra gift from Korbyn and if you know Jeremy you know that he loves to open gifts so he is super excited.
Tonight Jeremy and I were supposed to go to a Round Rock Express baseball game but I just couldn't make myself go. We have had the tickets and it sounded like fun when we purchased them but by the time I got home from work I was so tired; there was just no way that I could go to the baseball game. My feet/ankles have been swelling some lately so we decided to just stay home and relax.
Happy Mothers day this Sunday to all the mothers...next year I will be celebrating with you!

fast forward to 30 weeks

It's obvious that a lot of time has passed since I last updated the blog because the last post tells you that we are having a baby...and I am now 30 weeks pregnant. Since my last post we have come a long way; for starters we found out that we are having a girl! Her name will be Korbyn Leigh Hasty and her expected arrival is still somewhere around July 8. We have painted and set up Korbyn's room, registered and already have had a couple of showers to fill the room and most importantly have watched the belly grow. Pregnancy has been going well thus far and everything seems right on track for Korbyn. We are going to the doctor every 2 weeks which I am sure will make the time go by even faster.
I will try to get some pictures of Korbyn's room uploaded for you to see. I have to get in there and put away all the things that we just received at the shower in San Angelo this weekend.

Baby Hasty on the way!

Yes, you read that correctly. We are having a baby. I went to the doctor for the first time this past Monday and everything is going well. I am 7 weeks this week and we got to see our little "baby Hasty." My due date is July 8 which is very close to our niece who has a birthday on July 4. We are excited and have a lot to look forward to over the next few months.

RIP Richie

Jeremy's uncle Richie passed away last Friday, October 16, 2009 very unexpectedly. He will be remembered for making great dressing for both Thanksgiving and Christmas meals.
